Rinjani Odyssey Trekking staff and mountain guides have over 10 years of experience on Mt. Rinjani. We come from a family line of those who have pioneered trekking Mt. Rinjani and grew up immersed in climbing culture since we were children. Mt. Rinjani is like our home. We at Rinjani Odyssey Trekking want to provide the best mountain experience for you and give you an unforgettable experience on our beautiful mountain which we call home. Mt. Rinjani is one of Indonesia’s most famous mountains and the 2nd tallest active volcano in the nation reaching a height of 3,726masl and a part of Indonesia’s 7 tallest mountain summits throughout the nation. Mt. Rinjani National Park is officially 41,330 hectares (159.6 sq mi) of protected forest full of beautiful birds and other animals which we can encounter on our trip. Inside the crater of Mt. Rinjani is the beautiful bright blue lake Segara Anak (the child of the sea) and the active volcano Gunung Baru Jari (Mt. New Volcano). Segara Anak lake is a fresh water lake full of fresh fish which we can catch and eat together as we camp in the lake. At the northern end of Segara Anak lake there are natural hot spring pools you can soak in and relax your tired muscles. It will make you feel brand new. Mt. Rinjani is full of mystery and meaning for the indegenious people of Bali & Lombok as it was once the center of worship and ceremonies together for 3 different religions; Buddhist, Hindu, and Islam. As you hike the mountain our guides will provide you with local knowledge and the true history of Mt. Rinjani only locals know..
Why we’re different
Mt. Rinjani has a special meaning for us in our hearts so we want to do our best to preserve our beautiful natural environment as we guide you on your adventure, giving you the best experience possible whileleaving behind minimal damage to our mountain so the mountain can be enjoyed for generations after us. We all have families and we want our children to one day enjoy the beauty of Mt. Rinjani the way we enjoyed it. On our trip we do our best to use environmentally friendly tools and logistics. Things we can collect from nature and go back to nature. We will use special plates for eating made from clean banana leaves so we reduce our trash. We want to reduce our plastic by using reusable tupperware for all of our cooking ingredients in order to guarantee no piece of trash will be left behind on our mountain.
